We love our villains
Welcome to another edition of Why I Hate, but this time we are doing something special. We are showing a little love to the villains. So today we are starting with one of my favorite villains Danzo and why he is much more realistic than the other character in the series
He spent his life running covert ops
Let's be completely honest, Danzo runs the Konoha of the CIA. Especially in it's clandestine affairs, protecting the country in the shadows. His organization The Foundation (know as ROOT) runs espionage missions to ensures the security of Konoha
The foundation known as ROOT
No matter how you look at it, Danzo was absolutely essentially in maintaining the security of Konoha. His unit was the main one that hunts down potential threats and deals with them in a way that the general public will not be in fear.
Remember, the only reason Danzo was framed as a villain was because he was trying to kill Sasuke who was a traitor to his country and a criminal. In the real world, Danzo would have been completely justified in trying to eliminate a criminal who tried to kill world leaders.
When the Uchiha's threatened to launch a coup de etat against Konoha, Danzo handled it expertly by gaining the assistance of Itachi Uchiha and systematically wiping out the threat all at once.
He helped countries in civil wars to gain their allegiance with Konoha
Danzo and Hanzo working together
This is overwhelming one of the most realistic aspects about this character and his operations. A large portion of his actions stemmed from fighting or helping foreign leaders in their insurgencies.
The most well known case would be the case with Danzo and Hanzo. Danzo assisted Hanzo in crushing his insurgency in exchange for his cooperation with Konoha and helping him Hokage.
This is just like a countless amount of cases where the CIA has infiltrated countries and assisted against or fought with insurgents. The most notable example being the CIA assisted anti-Assad rebels, but those rebels became what is known as the Daesh (what we call ISIS).
In fact the only non-realistic thing about Danzo is that he has a bunch of eyes on his arm (yuck)
His motivations and life experiences are based purely from war
Almost everything about this character stems from wars and his insistence and maintaining a strong shadow defense. Let's break it down
No matter how it looks, it seems as if the CIA themselves came up with Danzo. Hmmm Naruto, brought to you by the CIA
